A story of cancer, courage & the power of sisterhood.
 
A three-act drama focusing on the friendship of four adult women who have known each other since high school, who return "home" for a surprise birthday celebration and to sister one of the women through the advanced stages of breast cancer.

Proceeds in the amount of $5,000 donated to the Bermuda TB, Cancer & Health Association and $3,000 to THE Company towards it's performing arts scholarship initiative.

 

YOU THE MAN

You The Man is a one-man play addressing unhealthy relationships, dating violence, and sexual assault.  It does not cover every aspect of these issues, but it serves to raise concerns, dispel myths, address social pressures, and offer insight into how devastating this violence can be.  This one-man play promotes empathy—it does not seek to blame, shame or victimize anyone but rather explores choices and consequences.   [City Hall Theatre Mar. 8 & 9, 2005]

ROSE WEAVER'S MENOPAUSE MAMA
 
In this scintillating and sassy one-woman show starring international performing artist Rose Weaver, Menopause Mama depicts the struggles and triumphs of menopause and aging through a variety of true to life characters and signature renditions of telling songs.  Menopause Mama has been celebrated by men and women - young and old, acting as entertainment therapy and a catalyst to feeling good about natural changes. What a Girl Wants! is a hilarious musical that discusses in public what all women talk about when they're together behind closed doors.  The show deals with issues that primarily concern women, but was written with both men and women in mind. Starring local actresses Khalilah Smith, Nancy Thompson, Kerry Judd, Denise Whitter and Deletta Gillespie. Written and Produced by Deletta Gillespie.  [Fairmont Hamilton, Bermuda - Mar. 2006]
